1. Booking and Payment

-A deposit (typically NOK 4000,-, 6000,- or 20% of the tour price) is required to secure a place on a tour. The exact amount will be stated in the tour information.

-The remaining balance is due no later than 30 days before the tour start date.

-Your booking is not confirmed until we receive full payment of the booking deposit.

-Payments of the booking deposits can be made by bank transfer or other methods as specified during the booking process.

-Payments of the remaining balance can only be made by bank transfer.

-For our Svalbard boat expeditions higher booking deposits and earlier payments are required, as specified on the tour description pages.

2. Cancellations and Refunds

By Participant:

- Cancellations must be made in writing.

- If you cancel:

  - More than 90 days before the tour: Full refund minus a non-refundable deposit.

  - 60–89 days before the tour: 50% refund of the total tour price.

  - Less than 60 days: No refund.

- You are advised to purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers cancellation, medical costs, and trip interruption.

By Photo Tours Norway:

- We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a tour in the event of force majeure, insufficient bookings, or unforeseen events.

- In such cases, a full refund will be issued. We are not responsible for additional costs incurred (e.g. flights, visa fees).

3. Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is mandatory for all participants. It must cover:

- Medical emergencies

- Emergency evacuation

- Trip cancellation

- Personal belongings and camera gear

4. Liability and Risk Acknowledgement

Participation is at your own risk. Outdoor activities carry inherent risks.

Photo Tours Norway is not liable for injury, illness, death, loss, or damage during the trip unless due to gross negligence.

Participants are responsible for their physical and mental fitness. We reserve the right to exclude individuals who cannot safely participate.

5. Itinerary and Tour Adjustments

Itineraries may be modified due to weather, wildlife activity, road conditions, or safety considerations.

No refunds will be issued for itinerary changes due to such circumstances.

6. Image Rights and Privacy

We may take photos or video during the tours for promotional purposes. You consent to being included unless you notify us in writing.

All images taken by participants remain their intellectual property.

 

7. Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to:

- Respect wildlife, the environment, local communities, and other guests.

- Follow safety instructions from the tour leader or local guides.

- Refrain from any behavior that could endanger the group or harm wildlife.

We reserve the right to remove participants who violate these terms without refund.

8. Non-Compete and Confidentiality

You may not use the information, contacts, or itinerary of a Photo Tours Norway trip to develop competing commercial photography tours.

 

9. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of Norway. Disputes shall be resolved by Norwegian courts, with jurisdiction in Oslo, unless otherwise required by EU consumer protection laws.
